Newsletter #8, May 25, 2020

Happy Memorial Day To All !!!!

*  We have decided to make some minor changes to our Newsletter, which we think will work out better for everyone.  With the arrival of the good weather, and more people trying to get off their computers,  we will begin sending out our Newsletter biweekly, beginning with the June 1, 2020 issue.

This is just to notify you of this upcoming change. We will be saving our regular features for June 1st.

**  Last week’s contest, Dolly Wodin’s “Quilt Block Quizzler,” looked like a tough one, at least for me! The Answer Sheet (complete with the original Quizzler photos) can be found here.

And … (drum roll) …. the Winner is: JANET PALMER!!!  Her prize is a beautiful, original Dolly Wodin hand-made, pin cushion!  Dolly even threw in a package of quilting pins.   Congratulations to Janet, and enjoy your new pin cushion.

The Prize: The Dolly Wodin hand-made, pin cushion & package of quilting pins.

***  No new news as to when we might restart our monthly Lecture Series yet.  We had to cancel our June 3rd presentation.  We will keep you posted, but rest assured, any decisions we make will be based New York State Policy, sound medical advice, social distancing issues, the Town, County and State guidelines, and Community Center policy and room capacity.

****  Work is always continuing on our website and Facebook page.  (Thanks to Webmistress and Social Media Guru, Ashley Biagini!)

P.S.  The next issue of our Newsletter will be sent to you on June 1st, and will include the next installment of the “Kingston’s Buried Treasures” video-taped lecture series, a feature article about a local institution, maybe some new jig-saw puzzles, and more.  We are working to bring you exciting and interesting content, of an historical nature, and by going on a two week publication schedule, we will have more time to do this!
