Newsletter #3, Apr. 20, 2020

To Our Members, Supporters and Friends,

Welcome to the New Paltz Historical Society’s third Newsletter.  We hope everyone of you are safe and happy at home, wearing your masks in public, staying away from groups of people, maintaining social distancing, washing your hands regularly for at least 20 seconds, and not touching your face or putting your fingers in your eyes, nose or mouth!  And, some of you thought you weren’t doing anything all day long. Look at how busy you’ve been.

Anyway, this week’s Newsletter will introduce you to a great website, The Digital Public Library of America, (DPLA), can be found in the above attached PDF. Also, in the PDF, you will find a challenging quiz, and all the answers can be found on the DPLA website.  Send your answers to us at our new email address: nphistoricalsociety@gmail.com

If you have any suggestions, question or comments for us, send them to us at nphistoricalsociety@gmail.com.  You can also just drop us a note and let us know how you are and what you have been doing to keep busy.

As I’m sure you all have heard, Governor Cuomo has extended the “stay at home” order until at least May 15, effectively cancelling our May 6th presentation.  Now, we have to see what will happen in June.  We will keep you posted.

In the meantime, stay safe, stay home, and open up the PDF and take a crack at the quiz.

Susan, Marny, Diane, Dolly and Jack
